Twilight Update

I finished the book Twilight mentioned in an ealier post.
I was on call last Tues. so I thought I'd start the book as I waited for the hospital to call me in. I started the book at midnight. I got really into the vampire romance and suddenly the sun was up and I was reading the last chapter. In that moment I thought it was a really good pleasure-read and it wasn't until later that day when I was explaining the plot to Rhett, that I realized how ridiculous it is. Rhett objected to all the false info portraying vampires: "I don't care who you are, no author has any right to completely change everything commonly known about vampires." We were laughing about the silliness of the plot and the fact that I had stayed up all night reading it.
In conclusion I've never read a book so propelled by sexual tension (clean, innocent sexual tension mind you) and I am on the waiting list to read the sequel.
I think just as Edward has a love/hate relationship with Bella, I have a love/ hate relationship with both of them.

I am having a hard time with these twilight books, for a few reasons:
1. I hate doing things because they are trendy
2. I have heard it is a cheesy romance
3. I don't know if I can handle a cheesy romance
4. A vampire? For real? Romantic?
... maybe I should just read it so I can get over these thoughts... nah.

I'm in love with Edward - what a dreamboat. My sister got free Twilight" tatoos when she bought one of the books, and I think I'm going to put the Edward tatoo on my bosom ;) But what's soooo great about Bella? I like her, but she seems a little plain, why do all the boys go for her?

I love Edward! Bella drives me crazy. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

Rhett, are you already doing rotations? There are a few people from Kirksville out this way, so I didn't know if you started yet.

Jonathan would probably say the same thing as Rhett. Our cute sci-fi guys, you gotta love 'em!! I am actually reading the first book right now so we can talk about it together on Sun. Good times.

I wrote them off without a thought... but when someone mentioned vampires? I was all over it! I have all the books by the way if you want the next two.
