We have been fishing a lot more recently because Rhett is out of school for a few weeks on break. One Saturday we went to clean the tiny bass we were taking home for Jessica to eat (Rhett doesn't like fish) and at the cleaning station were 4 guys that had just finished a week of fishing. They had multiple coolers full of frozen large mouth bass. They were cleaning them with electric knives there were so many. We squished in one corner and proceeded to clean our baby fish and started chatting with one of them. Rhett asked what they use to catch those huge 5 lb. fish and it went silent, as if the other guys in their group were wondering if our new pal was going to betray their fishing secrets. He ended up saying something, but we couldn't understand him even though he was speaking English (this is common here in Missouri) and moved on with the conversation. He ended up teaching us the best way to fillet a bass and cut ours for us. At the end, I felt we were close enough buddies, I asked if I could get a picture with one of their huge fish. I ran for the camera and he brought 2 big ones, a fish for Rhett and myself and that is how we got this great pic that we sent out as if we caught them ourselves for a nice trick!!
Maybe one day we could catch such huge monsters!
